"Prof Jean has been my absolute favorite professor at UTA. She was always kind, patient, professional, and very respectful. Attendance was required but she was understanding if you were absent. I took a 5 week summer course, so there was a heavy course load but that's expected for a 5 week. 12/10 recommend. Wish I could take her for every class :)" - RateMyProfessor.com

"Professor, I just wanted to reach out to thank you for your hard work.... I had just switched majors and was quite discouraged about school, but having an organized course and a helpful professor has encouraged me to keep going. I was late on submitting the course evaluation, so I thought I'd let you know that I genuinely enjoyed the course and had no issues. Once again, thank you for your hard work and dedication to helping your students!" - Undergraduate student email

"I really appreciated the interaction and participatory nature of Professor Jean's class. She successfully kept the class engaging. It was not just data dump, she wanted to make sure we understood the application of the topics discussed." - Course evaluation student comment

“The culture that Mrs. Jean established since the beginning of the semester. She made everyone feel comfortable with her and other classmates… I really liked that she took an effort to get to know everyone’s names. She made it easy to ask questions and learning was great! I feel that I learned so much from her class than any other class I have [had]! …The course was hard but Mrs. Jean pushed everyone to learn. I wish all my courses were like this class.” – Course evaluation student comment
